1 San Miguel De Allende Airbnb To LOVE!

When you travel, do you love to stay in beautifully designed, spacious and affordable Airbnb’s or hotels?  Looking for ideas where to stay in San Miguel De Allende? I have an idea for you.

On this blog, I have been featuring some of my favorite Airbnb’s and hotels I’ve stayed in when traveling that may help you plan for your next trip.

During my last 6-Week trip to Mexico, my Airbnb’s were $35-50 a night and wonderful! I’ve made some Airbnb video tours for you and this may just help you find the perfect accommodation for your next trip without breaking the bank.

And let’s be clear, I’m not talking about staying in a shoebox uninspiring plain hotel or Airbnb room. I picked spacious apartments that I thought were unique, well designed and had great reviews for cleanliness.

In this post, I am sharing a beautiful 2 bedroom Airbnb in San Miguel de Allende with a beautiful private outdoor terrace.

One Beautiful Airbnb in San Miguel de Allende To Love

When I was choosing an Airbnb in San Miguel De Allende, I was looking for somewhere within walking distance of the center of town, a place that would be comfortable, cute, clean and all under $50 a night or less.

I like to see how far my money can go. Let’s say I have a Bougie Budget traveler taste!

Can’t wait to see what the place looks like? Take a look at this video tour I created on my last day in the Airbnb.

What I Look For In An Airbnb

I am a very thorough researcher of places to stay when traveling because I am picky about cleanliness, location and budget.  I compared Airbnb’s and hotels. What I found is that you can spend several hundred dollars in San Miguel de Allende if you would like, but you can also find very nice accommodations for $50 or less.

Hotels, I find, are usually smaller and offer less for the price they charge. While this is not always the case, this was what I found while comparing Airbnbs to hotels in San Miguel de Allende. For the roughly $50 a night I spent for my Airbnb, that would have got me a pretty basic hotel with far less space. Choosing an Airbnb was a no brainer for me.

Top Things I Enjoyed About This Airbnb

The Mexican Inspired Decorations and Textiles – I loved that this place showcased Mexican handmade pillow cases, art and design all over the house. The bright beautiful colors made me feel inspired and happy!  Why stay in a place that is all white and modern when you could get that anywhere. I like to stay in places that look authentic to the place I am traveling.  I wanted to feel like I was in Mexico. Not like I was back home in the USA. This place had plenty of Mexican charm!

Private Outdoor Terrace – The outdoor 2nd floor terrace was my favorite space in the house. It was extremely relaxing to sit on the terrace, look around at the beautiful surroundings and be sunkissed in the afternoons in the perfect San Miguel De Allende weather.  It was completely private so it made it easy to relax.

Cleanliness – This Airbnb gets a 10/10 for cleanliness. Everything was very clean. I’m very picky about cleanliness so for my to give a 10/10 is major.

Thoughtful Details – There was thought put into what would make this Airbnb experience great for the guests. For instance, the kitchen was well stocked with anything you would need and even the kitchen pots and pans were high quality.  There was cute things like a woven basket for tortillas, a variety of cups, tea kettles and more to use. The owners were not afraid to leave out nice things for guests to enjoy. I pay attention to these things because I have stayed in quite a few Airbnb’s with cheap pans and missing small conveniences that a guest would need for a great stay.

Central Location – The location was within 7-10 minutes of the center of town.

What are some possible negatives for this Airbnb?

I actually only had 2 things worth while to mention as “negatives.”  To give a well rounded view, I had to try pretty hard to think of negatives for this Airbnb!

1.  My only issue I had with the location of this Airbnb was that it was down a stony street that was sometimes a little hard on the joints. By stony street, I mean that it was similar to a cobble stone street, except the stones were very round and uneven. If this is an issue for you, this Airbnb may not be a good option for you. While the street was just under a 3-5 minute walk to the main road (because you need to walk slow), it was a little hard to walk on for the week. Not a major issue and I would stay at this Airbnb again, but its worth mentioning.

2.  This is going to sound picky, but I did not like the bathroom sink. The sink was copper and beautiful, but not practical because the water from the faucet would bounce up and water would splash about.

3.  The 2nd floor bathroom layout was a little awkward. If you were to use the toilet, you kind of had to sit sidewards, otherwise, your face was directly in front of the wall. Because I was only using the upstairs room as a day time relax space or work space, this didn’t bother me since I was staying the the main master bedroom.  The Airbnb hosts could consider renovating that bathroom for a better layout.
