On any vacation, I am always on the hunt for coffee anytime of day. After a day of exploring Austin, I was in the mood for coffee and a little pick me up. Mozart’s Coffee came up on my radar for nearby coffee shops and so I headed there to try it.
While pulling up to the parking lot, I was surprised at a large crowd and festive lights. The coffee shop looked like a gingerbread house! As I inquired further, we found out the crowd was gathered for a light show!
Walking into the coffee courtyard was like walking into a magical Christmas wonderland!
I only came for coffee and was pleasantly surprised to get a light show too! Sometimes it is wonderful not to have a plan and just be pleasantly surprised. I love going with the flow.
Resist the urge to plan everything while traveling! While it is great to research and plan, I find the things I discover randomly are so much more exciting.
Mozarts Coffee holds a lights show on the top of every hour during the holidays. The show features animations to Christmas songs that is timed beautifully. Some songs that are featured are “Let it Go” from the movie Frozen and even “Happy” by Pharell.
What about the coffee?
The drip coffee is bottomless so you can drink as much coffee as you desire. They also have cold brew coffee and seasonal lattes to choose from.
In the mood for desert? They have a large variety of cakes, cookie and pastries too!
One other thing I really loved about this coffee shop is it is beside a lake. I returned a second time to get coffee, enjoy being lakeside in their outside courtyard and watch the sunset. While in Austin, I recommend Mozarts coffee for their Christmas lightshow, or to just relax by the lake with a cup of coffee.
Wow! What a cool place. I would love to visit some day. It definitely looks like a gingerbread house. 🙂
haha yes it does. I was happy to have stumbled across this place. Nice surprise! … Thanks for commenting Jennifer 🙂
Oh my goodness this cafe looks incredible!
Yes it is pretty incredible! Thanks for stopping by Alice!
Hello! I really enjoy reading your posts. I especially like the way you format your pages and I think the custom masthead/featured image is engaging. As WORDPRESS suggests, you have a lot of “breathers” and you keep the text flowing. You and I have traversed some of the same spaces so It was delightful observing your approach. Safe travels and . . I’ll be back soon. By the way when I read this post and the adjacent one, it triggered The Daily Posts WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE: Ambience (this weeks challenge) I don’t know if you participate but these would be fabulous entries.
Hi Denise, Thank you for the thoughtful comment to my posts, that made my day! It is great to get the feedback on my writing and my posts. It is always a challenge trying to figure out what works and what doesn’t. So your feedback helps a lot! I have not participated yet in any of the wordpress photo challenges. I’ll go check that out now and see how it works since I don’t know that much about it. Thanks for the suggestion.
