What’s there to love about Roatan?

Ahhh Roatan…I love you! The thought of this place always brings such good memories.

Some of you may know that Roatan is my absolute favorite place to visit and I believe its a very special place. Why is that and where to start?

One of the top reasons I love it is that the water is amazing and you can snorkel almost any day of the year and the water is warm! No chills or shivers getting in the water & no wet suit needed.

The coral reef is so close to shore, you can literally swim from the beach – and the reef is beautiful!

The marine life is abundant and as soon as I stick my head in the water, I see lots of fish. You will find several beaches that have easy access to the reef from shore.

The waves – well, what waves? Many of the beaches I have been to on west end, have very little waves which means I don’t have to fight the waves entering the water or be too worried about a wave sneaking up on me while snorkeling.

You may be saying, well there are many places in the world to snorkel and enjoy the water.

While that is true, I just love that Roatan’s waters are so calm and warm. Access to the water is incredibly easy and I can snorkel by just entering the water from the beach. It’s just wonderful to have the option to snorkel without pre-arranging a boat pick up or tour all the time.

Besides the water, I love the vibes on Roatan. I can’t help but feel relaxed in Roatan and life just seems simple and stress-free. You won’t feel rushed or bombarded with billboards and advertisements to buy the latest brand name fashions.

I can’t remember seeing one high-rise building or traffic light. Consider Roatan a much-needed detox from modern life.

There is so much more to love about Roatan, that is just a start!

I wanted to share this video just showing you what it is like to spend time there and what a typical day would be like. This is not going to be the normal video that I typically share.

It is going to be easy going, allow you to hear the sounds of Roatan without much music and I want you to feel what I feel when I am there.

Making this gives me warm memories and I hope to return to Roatan very soon.

Enjoy!
